UNICON Welcomes Two New Board Members
Peter Methot, Rutgers University, won the board election held last month.
Peter is responsible for the strategic and operational activities related to both professional and corporate education at Rutgers Business School.
He is primarily responsible for the digitization and mobile deployment of all Executive Education programs at RBSEE, as well as program portfolio development and business management. He spearheaded the advancement of online programming by leveraging technology, with a focus on the customer experience. Peter was instrumental in the establishment of a customer relationship management (CRM) platform for RBSEE to enhance both the customer experience and provide valuable data analytics to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
He is active in The International University Consortium for Executive Education (UNICON), where he has presented his pioneering ideas for integrating technology into executive education program delivery, and serves as Co-Chair for the Digital Communication Subcommittee. In this role he was instrumental in the development and delivery of a new website and digital ecosystem for UNICON. He also consults for other academic Institutions by instructing how to implement their transition to digital.
Dr. Denise Douglas, Case Western Reserve University, will serve as the board appointment.
Dr. Denise Douglas has more than 20 years of leadership experience in both private and public higher education institutions. Denise is currently the Associate Dean of Executive Education at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University (OH) where she leads a staff of 16 responsible for over 70 open enrollment professional development programs, custom corporate solutions, online and blended learning, executive coaching, the Executive MBA (EMBA), and operations. Denise has also held an adjunct appointment with the Organizational Behavior department where she taught Managing Teams & Leadership for the Global MBA program.
Denise has been involved with UNICON by co-leading the Newcomers Workshop (2015 & 2016) and serving as a storyteller at the December 2016 Team Conference.
Prior to her role in the Executive Education, Denise served as the Senior Associate Dean for the School of Graduate Studies and Office of Postdoctoral Affairs at Case Western Reserve University. In this role, Denise led a staff of eight with responsibilities in admissions, orientation, graduate academic affairs, commencement and postdoctoral affairs.
During Denise’s 16 year career at Case Western Reserve University, she has been instrumental in forming partnerships with individuals across several university departments to launch professional development programs such as the Women Staff Leadership Development Institute (WSLDI), now in its 10th year and the university level Professional Development Center.
Both will join the board in July for six-year terms.
