Communications Committee

What We Do

The Communications Committee supports the internal and external communications priorities of the Organization, including web-based communications and public relations.

How to Get Involved

Members of the Communications Committee develop UNICON’s communications strategy, utilizing appropriate channels and vehicles to ensure that members – and relevant external constituents – are informed about the Organization’s priorities and activities.   Committee members are challenged to identify the optimal approach for communicating with UNICON’s membership, understanding that this approach has evolved dramatically in recent years, and will likely continue to do so in the future. Likewise, committee members are asked to determine how the Organization engages with the media on the topic of University-based Executive Education.

If you would like to serve on the Communications Committee or have information you’d like to share, contact Peter Methot, pmethot@business.rutgers.edu

Insight Articles

Each year we commission a number of articles based on interviews with member schools that we think will be of interest to UNICON membership. Below are a few sample articles:

  • Measuring client return on investment
  • To what extent are we training providers versus trusted knowledge partners?

Should you wish to be interviewed for one of these articles, please complete the contact form at the bottom of this page.

UNICON In the News

The Communications Committee manages UNICON’s public profile in two ways: responding to the development and publication of articles on the topic of University-based Executive Education, and generating press releases when the Organization has news to break (e.g. the findings of the annual membership survey). Please reach out to us if you are aware of any news stories that pertain to our industry.

Content Submission Guidelines

The Communications Committee invites submissions of content for the UNICON website. Following are guidelines for content submission:

“Recognizing that UNICON’s members are very busy people, the challenge for the Communications Committee is to find ways to communicate with them that maximize the investment of their valuable time. The new website is one example of us trying to do that, and we are very excited about finding more ways to engage the membership.”

It is the responsibility of the Communications Committee to determine the most effective way to keep UNICON’s members up-to-date on what the Organization is doing to support the membership. If you have ideas about how we can improve in this area, please share them with us.

The Communications Committee is also responsible for the ongoing development of the UNICON website. We are always interested in your thoughts about what the website should feature. Please contact us using the form below with your ideas.
