UNICON announced the results of the board election and appointment process for fiscal year 2018-2019. The new board members will formally take office July 1.
Dr. Camelia Ilie-Cardoza, INCAE Business School, won the board election held last month.
Dr. Camelia Ilie is Dean of Executive Education at INCAE Business School and Chair of the Center for Collaborative & Women Leadership.
She teaches leadership development, neuroscience, transformation and organizational change. Dr. Ilie is an engineer specializing in Optical and Biomedical Devices, with a Summa Cum Laude Doctorate from the Pontificia de Comillas University in Spain. She also earned a DEA from the Complutense University and completed the Senior Executive Program from ESADE and Babson College.
Dr. Katharina Lange, Singapore Management University, will serve as the board appointment.
Katharina has worked in Executive Education for 10 years and has developed, designed and delivered executive programmes in Europe, greater APAC and the Middle East.
One of her strategic initiatives is the “Cultural Transformation in a Digital Age” which includes implementing technology-supported learning ecosystems and supporting the “Skills Future Agenda”. The initiative infuses both, Open and Custom Programmes.
Before joining SMU, Katharina was Programme Director at the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) in Berlin, Germany. She headed the Life Science Industry group for Custom Programmes and coordinated the Open Enrollment Programmes.
Katharina is a trained pharmacologist (PhD) and served as a Business Consultant at Arthur Andersen and
Deloitte for ten years.
Having completed their 6-year board term, Della Wong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Elena Escagedo, IE Business School will be leaving the board.
