Shalini Bhatia is currently the Director of Program and Business Development at the Graduate School of Business (GSB) in Executive Education where she leads the Program Development team, handles Business Development for Australia, India, and New Zealand and manages a few programs in the custom and open enrollment portfolios.
Additionally, with the support of the Senior Associate Dean of Executive Education, she leads the faculty engagement initiative and previously managed the Executive Education Financial Times Ranking process. She was the Co-Chair of the Social Committee to foster strong team bonds. She has been in the organization for seven years and has held various roles within the department that have allowed her to see the end to end lifecycle of executive education custom clients and participants and open enrollment participants. She has run 50+ program weeks in her tenure. Her passion for the industry lies in making a difference in a leader’s career to ultimately tie to a greater purpose which coincides with Stanford’s GSB mission of “Change Lives. Change Organizations. Change the World.” In December 2019, she was awarded the “Michael A. Spence” Award in special recognition of Job Excellence at Stanford GSB, one of the highest honors.
Prior to a career in University-based Executive Education, she has had careers in marketing and consulting across various industries and locations across the United States. She holds a M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and a B.A. in Economics and Community Health Certificate from Tufts University. At Tufts University, she was the President of the International Club which stems her curiosity of different cultures and people globally. As a lifelong learner, she has taken Compassion Cultivation Training, Interpersonal Dynamics Introduction training, Vipassana Meditation, Stanford University Manager’s Academy and a graduate of the UNICON Leadership Academy.
